Dr. Jessica Knaffl
Dr. Knaffl, a proud Florida native, brings a deep passion for animal care and community service to our team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Animal Biology with a minor in Deaf Studies from the University of South Florida. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Throughout her journey, Dr. Knaffl has remained committed to giving back, volunteering with organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Brevard Zoo, and Birmingham Humane Society. She is an active member of several professional associations, including the American Heartworm Society, American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the Veterinary Medical Business Association.
Her clinical interests include dentistry, emergency medicine, parasitology, and disaster preparedness—areas where she continues to expand her knowledge and skills.
When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Knaffl enjoys spending time with her two miniature schnauzers, Juniper and Kaiser, especially taking them on long walks and pampering them with grooming sessions. Her hobbies include computer gaming, listening to music, cheering on Auburn football, and making frequent visits to Busch Gardens.
We’re thrilled to have Dr. Knaffl on board and know you’ll love her compassionate care and energetic spirit as much as we do!
